Let's Get Those Labels Off 🏷️

There are many ways to remove the different labels from your candles in order for you to reuse or repurpose your containers. Below you will find 3 of the methods we use and recommend.

Method 1: Water

Remove all the remaining wax prior to starting. Fill your sink or a container with warm-to-hot water. Add some dish detergent to the water and submerge your candle vessel in the soapy water and let soak. Different adhesives will require various soaking times. Some may require soaking overnight. Once the label appears fully soaked, peel one corner of the label and the rest should cleanly follow. If there is any residual residue, a wet sponge should scrub it off. Clean the container thoroughly before reusing.

Method 2: Nail Polish Remover

Prior to starting, remove all the remaining wax from the container. Apply a generous amount of nail polish remove to a cotton ball or paper towel. Lay the towel over the label and let sit until you see the liquid soaking in. From here, you can easily peel off the label and scrub off any remaining residue. Clean the container thoroughly before reusing.

Method 3: Label Remover Sprays

Label remover sprays like Goo Gone or Goof Off are great at removing labels. Spray on the label and let soak for roughly 15 minutes and then peel off the label. Use a wet sponge to scrub off any remaining residue. Clean the container thoroughly before reusing.
